5 Games I Would Like to See Remastered

Remasters are all the rage these days, well, those and indie games. While we are getting some decent games being re-released on the most up to date systems, I can't help but think of games I would like to see more. Here's the 5 I most want to see be remastered for the Xbox One and/or PlayStation 4.

5.  Tony Hawk: American Wasteland

This game holds a special place in my heart due to the happiness I had surrounding the time I played it. The summer that I played this game was one of the best times of my life and this game is a reminder of what joy I had. So I would love to see a remaster of this game. It doesn't need much, just a graphical upgrade would make me happy! I doubt this will ever happen though and my best hope at recapturing that moment in my life will fall on the shoulders of Pro Skater 5 next month.

4. Hitman: Blood Money

Hitman's most recent release was not what the hardcore fans wanted from the series and while the upcoming reboot is shaping up to go back to the roots, the structure in which it is being released has been a little miffed. Hitman Blood Money on Xbox 360 was an awesome game but its age shows. This would be perfect for a remaster. Tighten up the controls and overhaul the graphics and I would be there day one! Hell, if Square Enix really want to make my day do all the Hitman's up until Blood Money with the same treatment too!

3. Assassin's Creed Rogue

This game came out while the PS4 and Xbox One were both a year old. Those systems however got the slightly lackluster Unity. Meanwhile on the old systems this gem of a game was released. This is my favorite Assassin's Creed game and after having recently played through Unity I can't help but wonder what Rogue would be like with Unity's level of graphical quality. That is something I would love to see. Granted it still looked great on the old systems but it could look so much better on the new! Honestly, I expected Ubisoft to have ported this over already and they haven't. I hope that's because they are putting more work into it than just a port as apposed to just not doing it at all. A man can dream!

2. Metal Gear Solid

It's no secret that I am a huge fan of the MGS series and while we did see a HD remaster back on 360 and PS3 they weren't much more than just a layer of HD paint. That collection was also missing the original Solid game. Just imagine this with a complete graphical overhaul and the mechanics from Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain. I understand that that would be more than your average remaster, hell, it would probably be classed as a re-imagining, but it would be an amazing experience to have. Having the two Metal Gear games in the same style would be awesome as well!

1. GoldenEye 007

Come on, you knew this was going to be my number one! It always will be since this game has a ridiculous licensing issue surrounding it. Just to be clear, I'm talking about the original N64 release, NOT the Wii release or the Xbox 360/PS3 release. This one I would have a graphical upgrade (obviously), but I would also implement the dual thumb-stick format that all shooters use these days. Other than that I would add online play for the multiplayer, otherwise whats the point! Alas this will never happen thanks to the aforementioned licensing issues, but it sure is nice to dream of the possibilities.
