Warhammer 40,000: Inquistor - Martyr Announced for Next Year

Not to be mistaken with Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide, Warhammer 40,000: Inquistor - Martyr is a different game set in the 40k unviverse. the 40k universe is a more Sci-Fi setting than the standard Warhammer, if you played Space Marine back in 2011 then you will know what to expect, setting wise. However, where Space Marine was a more traditional Third Person Shooter, Inquistor - Martyr is an Action RPG, so fans of the Mass Effect series may want to keep an eye on this one!

The developer, NeocoreGames, is promising some fairly lofty ideas as it aims to "expand the boundaries of the genre itself by taking the in-game mechanics and visual solutions to a brand new level and also by opening up a persistent sandboxed Action-RPG". The single player campaign will put players in a "grim and secret war among the stars as the agents of the ever-vigilant Inquisition". It sounds a lot like a certain game of the year last year!

The final lofty promise (because it apparently wanted expectations through the roof!) is this:
After the end of the campaign the story continues in a colossal sandboxed game set in the same secluded sector of this vast universe. This persistent setting grants years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that enriches the Action-RPG gameplay.
So what do you think? Sounds amazing right? If it only lives up to half these promises we could be looking at the best thing since Mass Effect! Check out the teaser trailer below. Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is due out in 2016 on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
