Trials Fusions Adds Acorn Microtransactions

Ubisoft has added microtransactions in the form of "Acorns" to Trials Fusion. The prices range from $5 for 1,000 Acorns with the Bronze Pack, to $30 for 8,500 Acorns with the Awesome Max Pack.

The different packs are now available on the Xbox One Store. According to Dev Update on the Ubisoft forums, the Acorn microtransactions will be used for cosmetic purposes. The latest update added over 20 customization options to the game including new bike skins, helmets, and outfits.

According to the post, "larger customization items such as full bike skins and rider outfits cost 1000 to 2000 Acorns. Items such as a single helmet or bike rims cost around 200 to 750 Acorns. Players that really want to stand out from the pack can pick up some of the higher tiered premium content."

The items are confirmed to not give any advantage to players and can be earned by playing tournaments. Yet the developer warns "it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to unlock every piece of customization gear for each bike and rider solely from Tournament play."

The Acorn packs are sold separately from the Trails Fusions Season Pass and Awesome Level MAX DLC.
