Indie Spotlight - Relativity

Each week the DRM Gamecast will highlight one Indie game that we feel is worth looking into. Every game listed has a planned console release for the Xbox One and/or PS4.

Willy Chyr is an independent solo developer based out of Chicago. With an educational background in Physics, Chyr has made the jump from theoretical to practical - well kind of. Relativity is an exploration-puzzle game that imagines a universe with a different set of physical laws.
Set in an Escher-esque world filled with secrets and mysteries, you utilize a unique gravity-manipulation mechanic to turn walls into floors. Learn to see the world through whole new perspectives as you navigate mindboggling architecture and solve seemingly impossible puzzles.

The core mechanic of Relativity revolves the different gravities, each with their own color. Everything is Relativity is, well... relative. As you are in the blue gravity, the floor is blue and the walls around you are a different color. But as soon as you switch to, say the red gravity, the walls are now blue and the floor is red. It's all relative!

This simple yet complex mechanic is the basis for the hundreds of puzzles in Relativity.

Relativity is still in the early stages of development, but has a planned launch window of 2016 for the PS4, PC, Mac, and Linux. For more information you can visit the official website or follow Willy Chyr on Twitter.
