E3 2015: What to Expect From Bethesda

It's that time of the year! We're taking a look at a few E3 press conference holders and what they might have in store for us. For their first time ever, Bethesda will be holding a press conference Sunday June 14th. Check out our full E3 Press Conference Schedule for dates and times of every press conference.

Fallout, Fallout, and..... Fallout

Without a doubt, Fallout 4 will be the biggest game that Bethesda has to show. Just get it out of your head now that they have something bigger planned. As of right now, this is the pinnacle. But that isn't a bad thing. Fans everywhere have been clamoring for Fallout 4 for years now and Bethesda is finally ready to show it off. Some might be a little disappointed that the game was revealed before the press conference, but with all the leaks and rumors running wild in the gaming industry can we really blame them?

Right now, we can only hope for pure gameplay. We've all seen the reveal trailer but now it's time for real gameplay information. What are the new mechanics? How large is the world? How do the graphics look? These are all questions you can hope to be answered during Bethesda's iconic first press conference.

Bethesda has already confirmed that DOOM will be fully revealed during Sundays press conference. The first glimpse we got of the rebooted title was an eleven second teaser trailer showing the weird looking creature below. Other than the promised reveal, no other information is currently available.

Fallout 4 and DOOM are the only two titles confirmed to be at Bethesda's press conference. But there are a few other titles that have some evidence to support the possibility of being shown off. To start, Dishonored. There have been rumblings of a Dishonored Definitive Edition as well as Dishonored 2. Not too long ago a Brazilian rating for a definitive edition was spotted and and image of Dishonored 2 surfaced as well. Not to mention a few Dishonored employees accidentally got caught during a broadcasting test ahead of the press conference. Corvo was a huge success for Bethesda as the game currently sits at a 91 on Metacritic and was the 4th highest selling game during the month of its North American release. It would be hard to imagine Bethesda letting this one sit out.

The other title most likely to be shown off is Battlecry. Bethesda's PVP focused free-to-play title is headed for a 2015 beta. Here is a short description from the official website,

"Take on the role of an elite warrior and engage in brutal, high-action, 32-player battles in a variety of gameplay modes. Responsive, smooth controls unleash violent, high-impact, and stunning combo attacks previously reserved for modern brawlers. Dynamic movement allows you to seamlessly grapple, evade and mantle to quickly cover distances and evade the other team. Engage in combat and use the game’s Adrenaline system to unlock special powers for a short time or conserve Adrenaline to unleash your lethal Ultimate ability when the time is right. In BATTLECRY, your skill, timing, and teamwork create a diverse gameplay experience."

So there you have it. Fallout 4, DOOM, some form of Dishonored, and Battlecry are your four likely candidates for Bethesda's E3 conference. Of course they could reveal something completely new. Something unexpected. A new IP maybe? Recent releases such as Wolfenstein and The Evil Within could potentially get sequel teases. Not to mention the companies other cornerstone franchise Elder Scrolls. But with Elder Scrolls Online just releasing on consoles, and Fallout already being announced, I wouldn't get my hopes up. But we're all watching for Fallout 4 anyway right?
