Tomb Raider Reboot Sets Franchise Record

Square Enix has announced today that the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot has sold more than 8.5 Million copies worldwide, setting a franchise record. The game also set franchise sale records for it's first day and first month.

The game was met with industry wide praise, currently holding a 86 and 86 on Metacritic for the Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively. A Definitve Edition was also released shortly after for the Xbox One and PS4.

Rise of The Tomb Raider, the sequel to the 2013 hit, was announced at Microsoft's E3 2014 Press Conference as a timed platform exclusive. I think it's fair to say that we'll see more of this new, young Lara. Stay tuned for more updates.
